At Log Village and Grist Mill we are proud of the peace and quiet and natural beauty of our campground. We are within a 30 minute drive of many tourist areas and so staying here would give you, your friends and family the calm and quiet of being away from all the hustle and bustle, but be close enough to take advantage of all the adventures right here in Upstate NY.
We think once you stay here you will want to come back again as our location is a great base to get around or you can just relax with a fire-pit and smores by your yurt or tent. In another year or two we will also have our refurbished museum and Gristmill for visitors to enjoy.
Adirondack Extreme Adventure Course
The Aerial Tree Top Adventure course is an elevated obstacle course set in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains and securely suspended between the trees at 10 to 60 feet off the ground. Some of the features of the course include giant Tyrolean Zip lines, suspended bridges, swinging surprises, Tarzan swings, nets and much more.
Washington County Fair
The fair brings together the best of everything, entertainment, 4-H displays, food, music, great rides and more animals than anywhere else! Enjoy the experience of Washington County, its people, its rural character and its great agricultural traditions. The Washington County Fairgrounds host a number of additional events throughout the year.
Painted Pony Rodeo
Saddle-up and enjoy the best bull-riding, bucking-broncos and cowgirl barrel racing ever! The Painted Pony offers excitement, fun and finger lickin’ Texas style Barbeque all as part of the evening entertainment. The Rodeo season runs July – Labor day weekend. And you can see them perform at the Washington County Fair every August. This will be a memorable evening for Cowboys and Cowgirls alike. Coupons are always available.
Runs 2-7 June 2014. Americade is the world’s largest multi-brand motorcycle touring rally attracting over 100,000 annually. Come and see the expo, the demos, fun entertainment and enjoy the guided rides. Here at Log Village and Grist Mill Campground we are proud to be hosts for some of the Americade volunteers this year. Adirondack Balloon Festival
Sept 18-21 2014. New York’s largest hot air balloon festival. Four days of balloons of every color, shape and size. Balloon rides, rock bands and “moon glow”.
Willard Mountain and West Mountain
Our winter campers may enjoy these local mountains. Southern Vermont skiing at Bromley, Stratton, Magic Mountain and Okemo is less than an hour away.
